Rally Today at City Hall

CUFPR

Today members of the Communities United for Police Reform calling the City to drop the appeal on stop and frisk and to let the much needed reforms proceed. On October 31st 2013 a three-judge panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals granted the City’s motion to stay the District Court’s remedial decision pending appeal, and ordered a new District Court judge to oversee the case.

Mayor- elect Bill de Blasio says he will drop the appeal in regards to the Floyd case, when he officially goes into office on the first of January. The community until that time needs to keep the pressure both on Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner of the NYPD Ray Kelly that Stop and Frisk in this current administration is unconstitutional.
